Mini Skips & Skip Bags — FAQs

Do I need a permit for my skip?
If your skip sits on the public highway, a local council permit is usually required. If it’s on your driveway or private land, you normally won’t need one. We can advise and arrange where possible.
What can’t go in the skip or bag?
No fridges/freezers, tyres, asbestos, liquids, gas bottles, chemicals or paints. Mattresses and upholstered seating may carry POPs rules — ask us and we’ll guide you.
Is a man & van clearance cheaper?
Often for mixed, lighter household waste, man & van works out cheaper and avoids permits/space issues. For staged projects or when you want to fill at your pace, bags/skips are handy. We’ll recommend the cheapest option for your materials.
